The app was built to be accessible for blind and partially sighted users, with accessible features including:

- High quality photos with detailed zoom
- Helpful audio descriptions of each of the twelve objects, and detailed background information about each one
- Clean and clear design, to make the app easy to navigate

The app will work with the Accessibility settings on Apple devices, so users can set their own specific preferences, e.g. voice input and output, detailed magnification, increased contrast and colour filters.

The app is 15Mb in size. It was commissioned by The Beaney House of Art and Knowledge, Canterbury, and developed by Surface Impression [email protected] in consultation with access advisor Shelley Boden [email protected]
