An accessible tour app designed for blind and partially sighted users, bringing the top 12 objects and paintings from the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge to life, using highly zoom-able pictures and audio descriptions.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
‘The Beaney tour app’ is a tour around the twelve most popular items in The Beaney’s collection, and was developed as part of the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB)’s ‘Sensing Culture’ project.
The app was built to be accessible for blind and partially sighted users, with accessible features including:
- High quality photos with detailed zoom
- Helpful audio descriptions of each of the twelve objects, and detailed background information about each one
- Clean and clear design, to make the app easy to navigate
The app will work with the Accessibility settings on Apple devices, so users can set their own specific preferences, e.g. voice input and output, detailed magnification, increased contrast and colour filters.
